The collective Monnike Con Moto (MCM for short) was a union of people from various cultural interests that formed during the Covid-19 pandemic. The name consists of two key elements that reflect the association's main goal. Monnike refers to an old name for the area of influence, which primarily includes the city of Mönchengladbach. The second term, con moto, comes from musical terminology, meaning with motion. This not only hints at our vision to create something that moves the city but also reflects the core element of the collective, which has been music and musical events from the very beginning. Festivals, concerts, and raves formed the foundation of our work, gradually attracting other cultural sectors. Over time, this led to a network and a number of collaborations within the cultural scene of Mönchengladbach. As a founder, board member and head of design, I was responsible for overall concepts, graphic design for various events, as well as booking and artist care.
