Fascinated by the complex structure of the (mostly) hidden mycelium of fungi, these studies are entirely dedicated to experimenting with transferring this complexity onto porcelain. After the graphic groundwork and the integration of mycelium structures into various GANs and machine learning systems, a crucial element of design was further pursued with AI models: randomness. In order to create textures that appear as organic and natural as possible, the porcelain mass was manipulated with self-made stamps, chemicals, and different drying stages. Many results emerged through the random interplay of various methods or only became apparent after the porcelain was fired.
